Which applications for Perlite Microspheres ?
Construction products: SIL-CELL® Perlite Microsphere is used as a matting agent and lightweight additive in various construction products, paints, coatings, plasters, concretes, asphalts, and resin-based formulations. It is frequently integrated into elastomer compositions.
Surface coating: SIL-CELL® Perlite Microsphere can also be treated with surface coatings to modify the particle surface. In organic and inorganic composites, these coupling agents enhance adhesion.
Other uses: SIL-CELL® Perlite Microsphere is used in the manufacture of joint compounds, adhesives, automotive body filler, cultured marble, wall patch compounds, stucco, ready-mix gypsum plasters, resins, plastics, cosmetics, and a variety of other composites.
What are Perlite Microsphere properties?
SIL-CELL® Perlite Microsphere contains a combination of silica, alumina, iron oxide, titanium oxide, lime, magnesia, sodium oxide, and potassium.
It is an excellent filler solution due to its inert properties, low density, and structure. The multicellular structure of SIL-CELL® Perlite Microsphere allows for superior tensile strength compared to other types of microfillers.
SIL-CELL® Perlite Microsphere is an ultra-lightweight microcellular filler, naturally occurring in aluminum silicate, inert, inorganic, non-toxic, and pH neutral. The particles are formed by creating a multicellular spherical bubble structure.

What is Perlite?
